Augustiner am Dom in Munich

Nice location and delicious food. The prices are normal. The beer .. top class, my absolute recommendation Augustiner Dunkel .. delicious

Fantastic service, wonderful food.

You might think it is a turi trap, but no, incredibly good and in an incredibly beautiful location. A classic! The terrace is a dream and also very beautiful from inside.

Larger so good

From the tel. Reservation to pay everything perfect. Great service, very friendly, fast, attentive (4 ashtrays changed), very well-kept beer. Food was very good, the dessert, Kaiserschmarrn was sensational. We will be back.

In spite of several unpleasant reviews, I decided to have a German lunch there and I didn’t regret a minute of it. Especially their own beer is worth praising, but also I did enjoy the Münchner Salad and delicious desert ?

Food was very good and the service has to be praised at this point (fast and very friendly). But we would not come back !! The fact that the boss criticizes the employees loudly and extremely harshly in the dining room and exposes them in front of the guests is an absolute no-go in our eyes! We do not support such disrespectful vehement!

The food here is unfortunately only average and the prices are very high (probably due to the central location). The service is to be praised very much, the service was extremely friendly and helpful. The beer ? was at first completely stale and with a lot of foam (really bad poured, even for Munich - see picture) and was then exchanged for a new one without any problem.

We were disappointed. Knuckle of potato dumplings instead of bread dumplings. Goulash tough and not Bavarian, but Hungarian. Not a noble substance, but Oktoberfest beer, which is more expensive but does not taste that good. There is much better in Munich.

Yeah .... one star for the location, one for the great service, one for the best beer and food that is ok, but nothing more. 2 star deduction for a soup that was far too small and overall tourist prices that were far too high. We're not coming any more.

I was very well received by a waiter who spoke German with a strong Bari accent :)! The service was great fast. I ordered a steak with onions and roasted potatoes ... The dish looked good, the potatoes were excellent spiced with fennel, the meat was ok, the prices high. Would gladly return for a drink ...

Food, beer and service were great. We had to smile about the prices of the schnapps (from 4 €, 2cl). So it depends what you want. Definitely a good address for a good dinner

Good for a break - unfortunately not perfect. The selection of food and drinks is not perfect and the service could be a bit faster ... otherwise great ....

Nice place to have diner!

Extremely rude staff who made no effort to accomodate our family with two kids at all and tries to put us in an area full of smokers out the back. Thankfully the staff next door at andescher am Dom were very accommodating and we went there instead!

Great place

Had my first beer here :) It was very nice. Charming service and great atmosphere.

Traditional potato sausage. Beer, pretzels, what more could you want. Come on half the team was disappointed with the lack of a veg menu. But this is Bavaria.

Average food. Very rude service. Does not speak English. We had to accept sitting at a crowded table (during covid), with the explanation "this is not a restaurant, it is a beer bar, you are expected to socialize, the other guests at the table did only speak German.....

They serve lunch from 11am. Every time we return to Munich we stop here for the broth with liver dumplings, a real treat, and excellent schnitzel with potato salad. Desserts are also very good, but definitely expensive. We found a quick service despite being quite crowded, at least it was full outside, even if it was only 19.30.

Excellent Bavarian food

Downtown location, but reasonable price. Nice beers.

After 7:00 pm, I thought I would go to Augustina Grossgaststeten, but I couldn't sit because it was full, so I went there. I waited about 15 minutes, and there were 3 sets of shared tables at the big table, but I was able to sit safely. There was also an English menu, and the clerk who came to our table was very cheerful and able to speak English. A few years ago, beer was on the Oktoberfest in Yokohama, and the price was around 3,000 yen, but I felt it was better than that. For food, order white asparagus and stewed pork. Both were delicious.

Situated opposite the cathedral and on a small, narrow street the Augustiner am Dom had every opportunity to be a tourist rip-off but it was far from it. It was our first lunch in Munich, and on Christmas Eve. Despite all the possibilities for a bad experience it was surprisingly good - food, service and value. We had to go upstairs to get a table, which was actually better as were away from the doors and the cold air. The service was prompt but not rushed, and the food - we both had the roasted pork knuckle - was fantastic. Due to the date and time of our visit, there was a high turnover of people wanting a table, so while not being rushed to leave by the staff it is respectful for diners to not hang around unnecessarily after they have eaten, and this was appreciated by the staff. Would go again

I went there to show my friends from Norway the good Bavarian food, but the waiter was so unfriendly I never saw sth like that. And he begins already when we sat, he didn’t even smile, and after we wanted to pay separately he just said ohhhh and disappeared for minutes. And when he came back he was just angry. I will never go there again. We got a Stefan D. Syndrome

Nice place for hangout with friends and to have a great beer with authentic dishes from Bayern's own cousine.. Would definately recommend for others who plan for a cool handouts...

One of my favourites! For a quick beer on the go visit the side entrance where lots of locals hang out, if you're sitting down, definitely get something to eat, lots of things to share and try!

I’m not one to complain, but the food was bland, and brought out within three minutes, so it couldn’t have been fresh. It was expensive for the experience.

Always big portion of food, fair price, very good food and services

To be honest, we did not really enjoyed their sausages which are very hard to chew. Felt like rubber. Compared to other restaurant, the sausages were small and not very good. We do not recommend this dish, should choose maybe an other speciality. Nontheless, the apple strudel is amazing! We felt a pressure to tip more than we wanted to.

Nice place to have dinner. We had bratwurst and pork knuckle there which were really nice. On the other hand, it has 3 floors so walk-in would be fine. The atmosphere is good as it is quite a local restaurant (many German went there). Also you can order a 1L beer ?

It has better prices than other breweries in the city, and the beer is a personal favorite of mine. The strudel comes swimming in warm vainilla sauce. I would have taken a picture, but I couldn't resist eating it.
